Jay McBee is currently the Pastor of Counseling & Discipleship Training at Tree of Life Christian Church and the Director of Life Change Christian Counseling. He started counseling in 1990 and since then has offered marriage and family / crisis counseling as an outreach ministry of his church. He extended further training through The Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship ( IBCD ) and the Biblical Counseling and Discipleship Association ( BCDA ) Advanced Counseling Training. He desires to create disciples and to come alongside disciple makers through counseling and discipleship training. He offers a three-weekend Discipleship Series conducted at host churches to cover many of the issues believers face like fear, anger, worry , depression, dealing with trials and temptation along with marriage and parenting.
In addition, he offers long-term counselor training for pastoral staff and lay leaders and counseling support at the host church campus. The ministry is donation based, so all counseling, training and pastoral/lay leader support is offered free of charge. He also has traveled to India on three seperate occassions to assist in the training of the local pastors with the fundamentals of discipleship. His corporate management experience includes Program Management for Sprint, a Fortune 100 company, and Business Development for American Tower Corp., an FT Global 500 company with holdings in Asia and North and South America. He and Karin his wife of 17 years have four adopted children, John-Mark, Kristin, Daniel, and Joshua.
